HIGH SCHOOL

SHAP High School Curriculum is based on the mandated K-12 Curriculum following the Most Essential Learning Competencies set by the Department of Education. Our goal is to prepare the students for the next phase of their lives after high school by providing opportunities to develop their critical thinking and communication skills by giving them challenging problems to solve, analyze and answer questions, express their opinions, participate in class debates and make themselves understood to make learning more engaging and to help create a classroom culture that arouse students’ interest and enhance creativity and curiosity. High School students are given the chance to work individually, in pairs or by group. Hence, collaboration is very much encouraged not only among students but also among teachers. Through collaborative projects, students learn how to work with various types of individuals and help develop their leadership skills. Computer classes in basic coding, animation, website planning and design, audio and video formatting, electronics are just a few of the many skills we teach as part of our ICT curriculum. This will enable our secondary learners to thrive in today’s digital and globalized society despite the challenges brought by the pandemic.

Junior High School subjects include: Filipino, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health), TLE (Technology and Home Economics), CLVE (Christian Living and Values Education) and Computer.

  2. Accounting, Business and Management (ABM) is suitable for those who are planning to work in the corporate world or have their own business to manage.

  3. Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand which is perfect for those who want to explore culture, politics, and arts.

The Arts and Design Track will further hone your skills and creativity for those who are interested in dance, music, theater, photography, media, and visual arts.

All learners are given the opportunity to participate in varied student activities through the different school clubs and organizations. Students also attend webinars related to the theme of the monthly activities or to their strand in Senior High School. These activities are effective means of complementing and enriching the academic work of students to enhance their talents, interests and abilities and become well-rounded, happy, and smart individuals.
