VISION STATEMENT

Enlightened and inspired by the spirit of its founder, Mrs. Luisa F. Kierulf, Sacred Heart Academy, Pasig City envisions Sacredians who are capable and ready to assume different leadership roles in life.

Sacred Heart Academy of Pasig plays a vital role in educating the youth to contribute to shaping the country’s future. We adhere to the beliefs that it is the school’s responsibility to empower the youth with adequate knowledge, skills, behavior and values through Christian education that fosters spiritual enlightenment, social responsibility, intellectual excellence and accountability to self and their community.

PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVES

Sacred Heart Academy of Pasig adheres to the belief that it is the school’s responsibility to empower the youth with adequate knowledge and skills, attitudes and values through Christian education that advocates the Core Values: INTEGRITY, EXCELLENCE AND SERVICE.

In cognizance of this philosophy and inspired by the strong moral and spiritual foundation of its founder, Mrs. Luisa F. Kierulf, SHAP strives to achieve the following objectives:

  1. To promote a family-oriented environment that is warm, loving, caring, and accepting by instilling the values of honesty, cooperation, respect, and self-discipline to make them men and women with Integrity.
  2. To provide progressive education that is relevant and responsive to the needs of the time with venues for enhancing language proficiency, scientific/mathematical skills, competence in computer or information technology, sports competitiveness and the arts, all for the achievement of Excellence.
  3. To provide experiential avenues that promote Service to God, Family and Country.

TRADITIONAL VALUES

We at Sacred Heart Academy of Pasig maintain the adequacy and importance of time honored Filipino virtues (Qualities) and the prominence of Filipino values (Principles, Ethics, Morals and Ideals) to our pupils and students advocating respect, devotion, and love for God, family and country.

PROGRESSIVE EDUCATION

We at Sacred Heart Academy of Pasig espouse a progressive approach in academic instruction employing structured (well thought out) but unceremonious (comfortable and familiar) system of instruction focusing on the manifold skills of our pupils and students. We therefore utilize a fusion of non-traditional and traditional pedagogical methodologies. Wherein there is a predetermined conception of our pupils/students' proficiencies at the start of the school year to implement a synthesized curriculum based on the actual needs with the expected level of competencies as determined by the Department of Education.

We firmly believe in the importance and development of all forms of intelligences (holistic approach). We also rely heavily on assessment protocols to measure effectual instruction because our goal is the achievement of mastery that translates knowledge to practical empirical actions rather than completion of the compendium of topics for the school year.
